Google has released the Android 5.0.1 update for all the Nexus devices. This update was brought to fix some bugs that were found on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the OS that got released back in October.

In concordance with Android Geeks, the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update s already available for all Nexus devices as follows: Nexus 10, Nexus 9, Nexus 6, Nexus 5 and Nexus 4. The update was received by the Nexus tablets a bit earlier, followed by the Nexus 4 and Nexus 6 smartphones. The Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update finally got released for Nexus 5 a few days ago.

You can manually check for OTA update by going to your device’s Settings->About phone->Software update->Check now. According to Android Geeks, if the update is not available yet, you can install it by downloading and flashing your device using the OTA zip file.

If you don’t know how to do that, we suggest you to search over the internet and follow all the steps. Keep in mind that before you start updating your device to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, you should backup all your data just to make sure you won’t lose any important information from your device.

However, keep in mind that Android 5.0.1 Lollipop doesn’t come with new features, but instead it fixes most of the errors and bugs that were found on Android 5.0 Lollipop. This way, your device will run smoother than before and you’ll get rid of all those annoying errors and crashes.

Android 5.0 Lollipop came with many problems and here are just a few of them: Wi-Fi connection issues, higher battery usage, poor performance, unable to play videos and more.

If you didn’t install the Android 5.0 Lollipop on your device, you can now install Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. There are rumors that a major update for Android, the Android 5.1 Lollipop will be released sometime in February 2015 and it will come with many improvements and new features.
