Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs Google Nexus 6 – Battle Of The Phablets By – Nov 18, 2014 0 1 SHARE

The iPhone 6 Plus is the boosted version of the standard iPhone 6 launched by Apple recently. The device has been awaited by ager fans for quite some time and managed to score huge in sales. The Nexus 6 is Google’s latest Nexus device, and will be coming out through Motorola. The device is also highly regarded and expected by many. One feature the two share is the fact that they come with very large displays that place them in the phablet category. Let’s take a look and see which device has what, and which would be best for you.

The iPhone 6 Plus comes with the aluminum casing that Apple has gotten us used to. The device has a similar aspect to that of the HTC One M8 due to its unibody design. On the other hand, as rumors have it, the Nexus 6 will be made of a polycarbonate body.

Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus comes with the Retina Display in the form of a 5.5 inch screen. The resolution for this device is 1920 x 1080 and uses a 401 ppi pixel density. The IPS LCD screen faces a 5.9 inch display, similar to the one you can find on the Moto X, which is, after all, the Nexus device’s base model.

In terms of processing power, the iPhone 6 Plus relies on the A8 chip which operates on a 64-bit architecture. The chip is supposed to be 50% faster than its predecessor in terms of graphics and 25% in general. The device also features 2 GB of RAM and internal storage options varying between 16, 64 and 128 GB.

The Nexus 6 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 that has a clock speed of 2.5 GHz. The device also uses 3 GB of RAM, which is more than the iPhone offers. Additionally, the handset comes with 32 GB of storage.

While the iPhone 6 Plus uses a battery that is supposed to be better and enhanced when compared to the one featured by its predecessor, with a total capacity of 1810 mAh, the Nexus 6 comes with a really big  3100 mAh unit.

While the Nexus line has benefited from NFC technology for quite some time now, the iPhone line is new to the scene and uses its newly acquired technology to provide the Apple Pay service, which allows you to make quick and easy mobile payments. The device also comes with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, which is another advantage from Apple’s handset, if that’s something that interests you. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus offer WiFi calling, but the Nexus 6 is also capable of that.

Both devices are about $900 on Amazon.
