The Asus Zenfone 2 has just been released in March 2015 and is a touchscreen smartphone that will probably be placed on the lower levels of high-end devices.
The Asus Zenfone 2 starts at a price of $200 for the 2GB RAM version, and comes with some neat tricks. It is a Lollipop based Android phone and comes with a plastic chassis in different colors. The screen is 5.5 inches and it has a full HD, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, weighing 170g. It is 6 inches in length and is quite a hefty phone, with 0.43 inches in thickness. The display resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels and the pixel density of the screen is 403 ppi.
The size is mainly due to the fact that the back panel is replaceable, allowing you to swap SIM cards. Though it is a little large and heavy, it is very attractive and available in various color options.
There is an excellent time saving feature on the Asus Zenfone 2, which most users will love. Users can scribble commands, like the letter D, from the locked homescreen. The device automatically opens to the app that has been preset or predetermined for that particular letter. For instance, you can set C for Camera and W for web browser or an F for Facebook and so on, to open it very quickly. However, you can only set up to a maximum of five commands, but it is still a cool feature.

The video resolution is 1080p at the rate of 30 fps.
It is powered by a 64 bit Intel quadcore, Z3580 processor and clocks at a speed of 2.3 GHz, which is faster than that of the iPhone 6.
The battery power is 3000 mAH and due to the Fast charging technology used by Intel, it is able to charge to about 60% from zero in about forty minutes. The battery is a Li Po one and is non removable.
The Asus Zenfone 2 runs on the Android 5.0 operating system, skinned with the Zen user interface with Java Support and offers different storage option versions of 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. The storage is expandable with the use of a microSD card to a maximum of 64 GB.
As for connectivity, it offers support for the usual options of Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 version and NFC. It is a dual SIM phone and can be charged via Micro USB. Both the SIMs, are of the Micro type of SIMS.
Asus Zenfone 2 is a nifty device and a speedy one that offers plenty of cool features. It has good looks and feels good as well. There are many features for saving time and space. The camera resolution is sure to make shutterbugs more than happy. The battery charges fast. Though it is a little heavy and rather thick, it is a great bargain. The phone is zippy and you can easily and efficiently complete both personal and business tasks.
