The latest batch of reports confirms that Rockstar is looking forward to postponing the release date of the much anticipated Online Heists DLC for GTA 5 because November seems to be a really crowded month.
Earlier, the company promised that after the High Life update and other downloadable content releases, they would bring out heists but things appear to be changing now. The discovery was made by a Reddit user who found that the development team is keen on bringing out the next gen version of the game in November before proceeding with other plans. The game is going to be released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
November is going to be an important month for the entire gaming industry because all major titles, including Sledgehammer Games Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Rogue is getting launched. Besides, Ubisoft is also bringing out another best franchise Far Cary 4 during the same time, which is definitely going to give a tough competition for GTA 5. The game has to find a place on the next generation consoles which is not easy because it got released already on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 a year ago. Most players have already enjoyed it and it generated over one billion in revenue last year. Whether it will be possible to repeat the same level of success is the big question that is being posed to Rockstar at the moment.
If you haven’t heard about the heists DLC in GTA 5 yet, then it’s time to know. The downloadable content will introduce the concept of robbing banks and other locations in the online multiplayer version of the game. You will be split into teams of six or five and have to rob a specific place while an equal number of human players will stop you. The race against time is really exciting which is why online heists gained so much momentum and players have been looking forward to it for almost months now. The release date is now pegged most probably in the month of December but the postponed date also creates a question on what if the developers push it to 2015. There is no confirmed date so far but you have to wait patiently until the Xbox One and Playstation 4 players get their share of the game. GTA 5 is also coming to PC in 2015.
