The latest member to the group, the HTC One handset is a successor to the One X handset. The smartphones from Apple and Samsung has found a tough competitor in the form of the HTC One smartphone. The handset has been crafted with greater accuracy. Regardless, the handset lacks an external microSD card slot and a removable battery.
HTC has been developing phablets lately along with making its mark in the premium smartphone segment. The recently released HTC Butterfly comprises of a decent 5-inch display, having a resolution of 1080p, which is the first of its kind from the company. Features and Specifications
Performance: The HTC One runs on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. It may not be the latest operating system available in the handset, but the difference lies with its SENSE user interface. The UI marks the difference between the HTC One and other handsets bearing the Jelly Bean OS. The BlinkFeed feature provides updates accumulated from websites and social media on your Home Screen. The Snapdragon 600 processor from Qualcomm powers the HTC One handset, with its cores clocked at 1.7GHz speed. In addition, a decent RAM of 2GB ensures smooth multi-tasking operations.
On the other hand, the HTC Butterfly smartphone runs on the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS accompanied with the SENSE 4+ UI. The SENSE 4+ UI justifies the decent performance of the full HD screen equipped in the HTC Butterfly handset. In the hardware department, the quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor from Qualcomm, with both the cores clocked at 1.5GHz.The Adreno 320 GPU along with 2GB of RAM memory makes sure the handset functions smooth.
Storage: The HTC One is available in internal memory variants of 16 Giga Bytes and 32 Giga Bytes. On the other hand, the HTC Butterfly comprises of 16 Giga Bytes of internal memory variant. However, the HTC Butterfly comes with an external microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32 Giga Bytes. The HTC One lacks in terms of memory expansion slot, which is very disappointing for the potential user.
Battery: In terms of battery, the 2300 mAh battery unit of the HTC One did not stand up to the challenge as the handset consumed more power. On the other hand, the 2020 mAh battery offered the user with enough power to last a day with moderate usage.
Both the handsets come equipped with decent features and spec sheet, to justify their very expensive price tag.
