The iPhone 6 Plus and the Motorola Moto X )2014 Edition) have a few things in common, such as the fact that they are both premium handsets which come with not only a good internal gig, but also a gorgeous exterior design that denotes class. Let’s see if the iPhone 6 Plus is as great as everyone is making it up to be, and if the Mo X has something to say about that.
Apple’s new flagship has a total weight of 172 grams, and measures 7.1 mm in thickness. The 2013 edition of the Moto X on the other hand has 9.9 mm in thickness, making the device thicker than the iPhone, but its 144 grams make it lighter.
The iPhone 6 Plus is available in grey, gold and silver, and is the kinds of device for which you need both hands, given the fact that it’s a phablet. The Moto X is more accessible and can be used with only one hand. The device offers you a range of 25 color options.
The 5.2 inch screen of the Moto X comes with the AMOLED technology and praises itself on its 1080p resolution. The competing device has a 1080p resolution as well, only uses the LCD technology instead. The iPhone 6 Plus also has a larger display, which measures 5.5 inches. The 1920 x 1080 resolution is pretty much the only common aspect of the two screens, as one comes with a 401 ppi pixel density, while the other, the Moto X, features a 423 ppi pixel density.
The Motorola device is able to provide better blacks and also uses less power to display them.

The internal storage capacity comes in 16, 64 and 128 GB variants while the RAM memory is 1 GB. The 8 MP rear camera is dubbed by the 1.2 MP secondary lens which occupies a place on the front of the device. All these and the device’s other specs and capabilities such as the TouchID fingerprint scanner, are powered up by the 2915 mAh battery unit. On the software side of things, the iPhone 6 Plus uses its homemade iOS8.
Now it’s time to take a look at the Moto X. The Motorola flagship features a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The unit is a quad core Snapdragon 801, and is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage won’t go as high as 128 GB, but it does offer 16 and 32 GB options. On the rear, we have a dual LED flash and a 13 MP camera. The front also features a camera with 2 MP aboard. The device is runned by a 2300 mAh battery and the Android KitKat operating system.
