The iPhone 6 is Apple’s new strategy to take over the world, and so far, they’re doing it right. With a larger display and improved performance, the iPhone 6 took over the stage, selling fast and making many people wanting it badly. The Note 4 finally came to the US on October 17, but there is the other category of consumers who haven’t decided yet which phone deserves their money and they need to weight both options.
Displays and S Pen
First of all, if you like phablets, then you’ll be interested in buying the Note 4, which features a 4.7inches display (Super AMOLED) with a resolution of 1440x2560pixels and 515ppi, which is 1inch bigger than iPhone 6’s LED-backlit IPS LCD display, which renders only 750x1334pixels with 326ppi. A bigger display means more space for gaming or watching movies, but it’s more difficult to handle without the S Pen stylus.
This tool benefits from some improvements such as increased sensitivity to copy the feeling of writing on paper. A better sensitivity means better looking text and your handwriting will look a lot more beautiful. Improvements were made to S Pen’s applications such as Voice Memo, S Note, Air Command etc. and these features really make this device worth its price.
The Note 4 has a feature called Multi-Windows View, with which you can run more applications at once on the same screen. You can also split screens, reposition apps with a swipe etc.
The iPhone 6 has a mid-tier display which can’t rise up to Note 4’s level, but at least you can handle it with more ease.
Designs and sizes
Since the Note 4 is a phablet, its sizes are significantly bigger, as the phone measures 153.5×78.6×8.5mm and its size is over 175grams. The phone is imposing and has faux leather on its back but without fake stitches like the previous Note 3 had. The iPhone 6 is very thin and measures 138.1x67x6.9mm, while its weight is 129grams. Regarding its design, you’ve already got used to Apple’s aluminum iPhones, and the new model is using this material once again.
While the iPhone 6 has an 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, phase detection, HDR, /3” sensor size, 1.5µm pixel size and video recording capabilities at 1080p@60fps, 720p@240fps, being able to record slo-mo videos, the Note 4 comes with a double number of MP, optical image stabilization, LED flash, autofocus, HDR and other great features that will make your photos look amazing.
The Note is a beast, containing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 processor and an Adreno 420 GPU, or an Exynos 5433 chipset with an octa core processor consisting of a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 and quad core 1.9GHz Cortex-A57 CPU, along with a Mali-T760 GPU. While the Note 4 houses 3GB of RAM and an internal memory of 32GB, which supports expansion up to 128GB, the iPHone 6 comes with 1GB of RAM and three variants of internal memories of 16/64/128 GB, which are unexpandable.
The Note 4 runs on Android v4.4.4 (KitKat) and the iPhone 6 was released along with iOS 8, but it received the 8.1 version in between.
