Moto G (2014) edition is also known as Moto G2, and it has been released in order to improve Motorola’s standing in the market.

Micromax on the other hand is becoming an established smartphone manufacturer that is already able to compete with the technological giants in this niche.

The Moto G is advertised as a mid-range smartphone with a low price, but the design goes well beyond a mid-range device, as it looks really nice. It weighs only 143 grams, which provides a great feeling when you pick it up. It is a bit thicker than what you might be used to (11.6 mm), so this might be seen as a disadvantage by some users. A nice touch is that the rear plates are interchangeable, and they come in many different colors, meaning that the phone is customizable to a large extent. The back cover is a bit hard to remove, so in case you already own this device, be sure to remove it carefully. The Canvas A116 HD is one of the better devices coming from Micromax. The front of the device retains Micromax’s familiar design, but the back cover has a nice glossy finish that gives the device a nice shine, hiding fingerprints in the process. The device really resembles some of the products coming from HTC and Samsung. However, that is the beauty of this device, as it combines the best features of multiple manufacturers without really copying any of them. The back panel is easily removable, and underneath it you’ll find the battery that can be removed and swapped for another should it start to wear out.

The Canvas HD has a 1280×720 resolution on a 5-inch display, which results in sharper image than on its predecessors. Everything looks like it should on this device, and it is no surprise that the Canvas HD is becoming increasingly popular. Viewing angles are superb, and the colors are really vibrant and accurate. When you test the fluidness and responsiveness of the display, you will be amazed with the results since it really does its job very well. The Moto G has the same display resolution as the Micromax A116 Canvas HD, but the resolution on the Moto G yields more ppi since the display itself is smaller (4.5 inch).

The Moto G comes equipped with pretty decent hardware for its price. It features a quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM, which ensures smooth operation under most circumstances. You won’t be able to use everything you imagine, but you will have no problems with most of the applications. The Micromax Canvas HD is equipped with a quad-core system-on-chip, which is also clocked at 1.2 HZ, and it has the same amount of RAM as the Moto G, making these devices very comparable in terms of specs. Just like the Moto G, the Canvas HD will grant you a decent experience when it comes to the device’s operation, with only occasional hiccups and lag under normal circumstances.
