Players who own the Xbox One or Xbox 360 consoles have already received the free Halloween texture pack as well as the industrial age based Steampunk paid texture pack.
But 4J Studios, the developers of the console version of Minecraft PS4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita confirmed that it wouldn’t be long before the packs land on the Sony consoles as well.
The team is already working on it and from the updates they have posted on their official Twitter handle, it can be confirmed that the packs would be out on all three consoles in the first week of November or most probably in the second week if there is any delay. With the launch of the free texture pack for Halloween special, players will be able to create maps that have a spooky theme in it. The added advantage is that it has been confirmed for the Xbox version that you would be able to apply the textures on any existing map which saves a lot of time and will help you dress up all your creations with the horror theme.
The industrial age inspired Steampunk texture pack will be another release which is going to be a paid one. In order to enjoy the texture pack, you have to pay the nominal fee of $1 and purchase it. While the Halloween texture pack is going to be only available for a limited time period, this one will be there as long as you want it. You will be able to construct industrial type structures, creations and start mining in a completely new fashion.
The additional texture packs will keep players busy until the team at 4J Studios come up with the new title update that is expected to fix a lot of issues, as well as bring in a whole lot of new content including horses, mules, redstone, carrot on a stick among everything else that is already available on the PC platform.
While the newest release is going to be texture packs, players are already excited for the upcoming content because they have the potential to change the game and make it extremely interesting than it already is. The Horse update is one of the most anticipated of them all and there will also be minor but interesting additions such as the pressure slabs that will allow you to set traps. For now on, gear up to go all spooky and enjoy it during the limited period.
