Nexus 6 vs LG G3 – Flagship Handset Or Stock OS Experience?

Picking a smartphone isn’t an easy task these days as there are so many options to choose from. In this article, we bring you the comparison of two very good LG devices. One was recently released and is the brand’s flagship handset, while the other one is Motorola’s Nexus handset from this year. Find out which is better and why below.

Measuring 5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 inches, the G3 proves to be slimmer than the Nexus 6 which is slightly thicker, by 0.5 inches to be precise, as it measures 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inches.

In terms of resolution, the two devices share the same 1440 x 2650, but for screens of different dimensions. The LG G3 has a 5.5 inch display whereas the Nexus 6 features a 6 inch display. The G3 catches up with the Nexus in the pixel density category, as the G3 has a 538 ppi pixel density. The Nexus 6 only has a 493 ppi pixel density.

GSM Aerna assures us that both devices offer a quad core processing unit, as the Nexus 6 relies on the Krait 450, which is clocked at 2.7 GHz. The RAM capacity here is of 3 GB. The G3 also has 3 GB of RAM, but it comes with a smaller 2.5 GHz processor, namely the Krait 400. The LG G3 has an internal memory of 32 GB. The Nexus 6 also has 32 GB of internal memory available, but can’t expand it due to the lack of microSD support.

Both devices have a 13 MP camera which is capable of recording 4k videos at 30 fps, but the tiny difference that puts the LG handset in front is the fact that it has a 2.1 MP front facing lens, whereas the secondary camera of the Nexus 6 has only 2 MP.

The latest Android Lollipop operating system will take its place with the new Nexus 6 upon the Google flagship’s release, straight from the box. On the other hand, the G3 comes with Google’s current top software version, Android KitKat.

The 3000 mAh battery in the G3 means that the device won’t give you any power related headaches, while the Nexus 6 is even better, with 3220 mAh.

The LG G3 comes with some very impressive specifications, but the Nexus 6 can’t be dominated easily. Google’s upcoming handset features a larger screen, a slightly better processor and a larger battery, therefore all the clues point towards a Nexus 6 victory in today’s comparison.
