Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes in a faux leather design and according to the company sources, it is rumored that the new handset, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a new form, but it is not known whether it will be flexible or curved. According to news leaked, it seems that the Note 4 will have a metal body with a rubber type of material on the back panel. It is also said that the Note 4 will have a YOUM technology, which is an OLED display, bending the sides of the display in such a manner that you can view notifications on these sides. The Note 4 will have the same screen display size of 5.7 inches, but the Note 4 is expected to have a 2K support with resolution of 2560 x 1440 p, as against the full high definition resolution in the Note 3.
Comparing Software, Hardware and Storage Specs
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 is the processor powering the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and is combined with different chipsets: the quad core Krait 400 Processor at 2.3 GHz; the quad core Cortex A 15 at 1.9 GHz or the quad core Cortex A7 at 13 GHz. The internal storage variants available for the Note 3 are 16GB, 32GB, and 64 GB with 3GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Note 4 has a much superior processor with Octa Core 64 bit and a higher RAM capacity of 4 GB, with a much higher internal storage of 128 GB. The Note 3 is run on the OS of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version and this can be upgraded to the 4.4.2 KitKat Android version, whereas the Note 4 is supposed to be run on the latest Android 4.5 Lollipop version.
Camera and Battery
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a rear camera of 13 MP with 2K recording features. The Note 4 is rumored to have a much better camera of a higher resolution of 20.7 MP. The Note 4 has another upgrade of supporting OIS or Optical Image Stabilization and will have support for 4K recording. As for the battery storage, the Note 3 has a Li Ion battery of 3200-mAh capacity offering 21 hours of talk time in case of 3G and about 420 hours of talk time for 3G stand by. It is expected that the Note 4 will be a little better with a higher battery capacity of 3600 to 3800 mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a great super-sized phone, has a massive screen, a great quad core processor and excellent S Pen skills. The battery life is good and it is able to take excellent and high quality pictures. The Note 3 is a massive upgrade from the previous Notes from Samsung and is very elegant and sophisticated. However, the Note 4 is expected to be much better in all aspects and is naturally priced a little higher for the upgraded features it offers.
