The latest release from the Korean giant, Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo is out in the market.
Released in April 2014, the smartphone is deemed a refreshed version of the successful Galaxy S3 handset.
The recent release from Samsung does not come any different from the 2012 released Galaxy S3 handset. In terms of design and features, both the handsets are identical to each other. However, the difference lies under the hood, with respect to the processor. The Galaxy S3 Neo handset encompasses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 chipset along with a quad core Cortex A7 processor. The four cores of the processor are clocked at a speed of 1.2GHz or 1.4GHz along with Adreno 305 graphic processor. The CPU and GPU combination of the Galaxy S3 Neo handset comes equipped with a RAM of 1.5GB.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S4 Zoom aims to make a place for itself in the market with a massive 16MP camera encompassing a splendid 10x optical zoom element.
When it comes to camera comparison, between the S3 Neo handset and the S4 Zoom, the latter wins the round without any trouble. The recently released S3 Neo handset encompasses an 8MP primary camera, in comparison to the massive 16MP camera of the Galaxy S4 Zoom handset. Had the S3 Neo been released a couple of years ago, the 8MP camera would have made the handset quite a bargain. Regardless, the handset fails to impress the customer, especially with the price at which it is available.
However, the Galaxy S4 Zoom handset is all about its camera features. The optical zooming feature of the S4 Zoom camera makes it a desirable contender among premium smartphones. The 10-x optical zoom feature of the S4 Zoom camera provides an unforgettable experience to the user. Overall, the S4 Zoom is a better camera phone as compared to the S3 Neo handset.
A quad core processor powers the Galaxy S3 Neo handset, running at a speed of 1.4GHz and couple with a decent RAM of 1GB. Regardless, in terms of processor, the S3 Neo failed to impress the user. The latest release makes use of a quad core Exynos 4212 chipset, which is a disappointment for some of the Samsung fans.
The S4 Zoom comprises of dual core Exynos 4212 chipset, running at a speed of1.5GHz along with Mali-400 graphic processor. The CPU and GPU are combined with a better RAM of 1.5GB for a quick and smooth functioning of the handset.
Internal Storage and Battery
With respect to internal storage, the Galaxy S3 Neo incorporates 16GB of internal storage capacity. In comparison, the S4 Zoom handset comprises of mere 8GB of internal storage capacity. However, both the handsets are equipped with external memory card slot for memory expansion up to 64GB.
In terms of batteries, the latest S3 Neo comprises of non-removable 2100 mAh battery unit. In comparison, the S4 Zoom comprises of 2330 mAh battery unit, which is of bigger capacity. The S4 Zoom battery is not drained easily with moderate usage. However, when using 16MP camera, you may consider carrying an extra battery unit.
