Despite a number of large screen smartphones and tablets being released in the market, Apple retained its decent 4-inch display in most products.
The changing market trend resulted in smartphone manufacturing companies develop bigger screen smartphones and tablets. Eventually, Apple had to succumb to the pressure and release its 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Pus device. In reality, the 5.5-inch display is the biggest ever seen in any Apple products. Sony released its Xperia Z2 Tablet after the successful venture of the Xperia Z2 smartphone into the mobile market. For the record, the Google Nexus 7 holds the biggest display in the tablet segment until date.
For now, we stack up the latest release from Apple, the iPhone 6 Plus against that of the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet with respect to their specifications and features.

The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet includes a Qualcomm designed powerful Snapdragon 801 processing unit. On the other hand, Apple iPhone 6 Plus consists of the company’s dual-core processing unit, set to run at a top speed of 1.4GHz.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet offers internal memory of 16 Giga Bytes. Nevertheless, the device could provide external memory to the user, if rooted. On the contrary, the iPhone 6 Plus device offers an array of internal storage capacity variants ranging up to 128 Giga Bytes.
Regardless, the iPhone 6 Plus handset lacks in terms of external storage capacity card slot for memory enhancement.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is a sure shot winner with respect to its design. Notwithstanding the 6.4-inch bigger display of the Xperia Z2 Tablet, the device appears to be slimmer as compared to the iPhone 6 Plus device. Additionally, the dust and water-resistant feature of the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet beats the Apple iPhone 6 Plus in the design arena. Likewise, the iPhone 6 Plus, equipped with a 5.5-inch screen, measures 7.1mm in terms of thickness. Some additional features of the iPhone 6 Plus device are Touch ID fingerprint sensor, located on the display, under the Home Button and a heart rate monitor.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet (unlocked version) can be availed at $450. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 Plus device (unlocked version) ranges from 600USD to 1150USD, based on different internal memory variants.
