Are you ready to ditch 2014 for 2015?
Well, if you haven’t let go of 2014, the following list of top 8 smartphones to be launched in 2015 will definitely convince you to let go of your old smartphone from last year and think about something else. In 2015, we expect to see more Snapdragon 810 chipsets, QHD displays, cameras with higher resolutions and 4K video recording capacities.
Sony Xperia Z4
This phone is expected to be out this month and according to speculations, the Sony Xperia Z4 will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display, a 64-bit quad core Snapdragon 810 chip that is backed by a RAM of 4GB, category 6 LTE and an internal storage of 32GB. The Xperia Z4 will include a rear camera of 21MP that can record videos of up to 4k.
Samsung Galaxy S6
Samsung is getting bigger and bigger with the release of Samsung Galaxy S6, a model that is believed to be inspired by the design of the Galaxy Alpha. However, the Galaxy S6 will feature an Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset with two quad-core processors clocking speeds of 1.3GHz and 1.9GHz in addition to a Mali-T760 GPU that is backed by a RAM of 3GB. It will include an internal storage of 32GB that can be expanded up to 128GB. The Galaxy S6 will come with a screen resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, a rear camera of 20MP and a front-facing camera of 5MP.
The latest model of iPhone 7 is expected to outshine its predecessor the iPhone 6 thanks to its larger 5.7 inch QHD display. It is also expected to be slimmer and with a different look thanks to the new liquid-metallic chassis that will replace the old aluminum build. The rear camera will feature an improved 16MP or 20.7MP and offer support for a two-lens system which means the iPhone 7 will be able to capture DSLR quality images.
HTC One M9
It is rumored that this device will be released by March and it will come with a screen resolution of 2560 by 1440 and a rear camera of 20.7MP. Furthermore, the HTC Hima will also feature a strong front-facing camera of 13MP and it will also come with a quad-core Snapdragon 810 chip that is backed by a RAM of 3GB.
The Lumia 1030 is again expected to be in by September 2015, which is in line with the September 2013 launch of the Lumia 1020. However, this device is expected to be more powerful than its predecessor thanks to the new quad-core Snapdragon CPU and a RAM of 3GB or more. Furthermore, the Microsoft Lumia 1030 will come with a rear camera of 50MP, a feature that will leave many of its rivals behind.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
This device is expected to be out by October and it will include a 4K UHD display that has a resolution of 3840 by 2160 pixels, delivering a pixel density of 746ppi. Whether the size of the screen will be larger or smaller than the Note 4 is yet to be ascertained.
There is rumor of a new Google Nexus coming out soon, at least by October. This device is expected to run on the latest Android Lollipop as well as come with a fingerprint scanner/sensor like with the Samsung devices.
The LG G4 will definitely be bigger in specs than the G3. It will feature a smaller 5.3-inch QHD with support for 3840 by 2160 pixels. However, there are other rumors that suggest it will come with a bigger 5.7-inch display. The G4 will also come with the latest Snapdragon chip and a RAM of 3GB or more, an internal storage of 32 or 64GB with an SD card extension slot of up to 128GB. The rear camera will come with a 16MP resolution while the front-facing camera will feature a 5.1MP resolution.
