If you have an iPhone and you’re using WhatsApp to chat with your friends, we suggest you to install the latest version, 2.12.1, which has the option to add WhatsApp sharing option in iOS 8 and to share photos on this chatting application from your iPhone Photos application.
WhatsApp is on the right track, with new updates being released every few days for the major platforms, Android and iOS, whose latest versions, 2.12.57 and 2.12.1, respectively, can be downloaded from the official website of this application. In this article we’re focusing on the iOS version, which has now new features, Voice Calls and the possibility to share photos and videos from the iPhone camera roll. The Voice Calling feature was expected for weeks, but there were users who didn’t have patience to wait for an official version to come, so they jailbroke their iPhones and installed WhatsApp along with the WhatsApp Call Enabler package from Cydia. However, not all iPhone owners will start making voice calls immediately, because the feature isn’t activated automatically. They will have to wait a few days until the feature will be activated.
The second important feature is sharing photos/videos on WhatsApp from the camera roll and to use this option, tap of Photos app which is found on the homescreen, then tap on an album that is stored in Photos app, select the photo or video you intend to share, tap on the sharing button which you will see at the bottom left, then on the More button from the panel displaying social media applications like Facebook, Twitter etc. From the listed applications select WhatsApp and that’s it, you will now share photos on this application directly from Photos App.
Now, before sharing photos/videos to a friend on WhatsApp, you can rotate or crop the image or video, then select the name of person from the list and tap on the send button located in the top right corner.
You should know that you can also share website links and multiple videos, and even edit your WhatsApp contacts.
