The Surface Pro 3 laptop-tablet hybrid was sold extremely well and it came in the package with a sleeve, Type Cover, Office 365 (Home and Personal editions) and extended support plan for hardware damage. However, the device will be replaced by a successor which will be released this year, and Microsoft is getting ready to welcome the new product by clearing off inventory and giving a discount of 300 dollars on the current model.
The Surface Pro 3 is available in four storage variants: 64, 128, 256 and 512 GB and there are four variants of colors for the Type Cover: red, black, purple and cyan. You can choose between Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal editions and take advantage of the accident protect, which covers hardware issues in the next two years.
On Marc 10, International Business Times posted a report claiming that the Surface Pro 4 is aimed to be launched in July, and will come in two display variants: a 12inches screen and a 14inches screen and under the hood, the tablet will have an Intel Core M Broadwell processor, but there are rumors according to which the Surface Pro 4 may have the next gen Skylake processor.
The tablet will run on Windows 10 and the Surface Pro 3 users were able to install the Windows 10 Technical Preview on their devices, to get an idea about how this OS will look like. There is also the Windows Insider program that will allow the Microsoft users sign up and upgrade their computers or the current Windows Phone OS to the new Windows 10 Technical Preview, so if you don’t have an account yet, hurry up and register. To upgrade a PC, you’ll have to wait 90 minutes for the download and installation process to be complete.
If you want to install Windows 10 OS on your Surface Pro 3, get the version 9926, which is stable enough, but if you want a newer build, look for 10036.
Currently, the price of the Surface Pro 3 with Intel Core i3 64GB is 800 dollars, while the Core i7 variant with 512GB SSD costs 1949 dollars. The tablet comes with a Surface Pen stylus with which you can doodle on the screen and if you want to be more efficient and write documents faster, you can attach a keyboard and mouse, but they are sold separately, as well as the Surface Pro Type Cover.
