Catalyst is one of the new leaked legend that will almost certainly be added to Respawn’s battle royale game in the coming months. While we don’t know how Catalyst will look like, the Apex Legends leak revealed some characteristics about the new hero, including its abilities and how it may integrate into your squad.

So when is the release date?
Most of the leaked characters have yet to be given a clear release date or even a time period. We’d be shocked if they were close to being released anytime soon, based on a leaked clip on Reddit, which shows what appears to be minimal work on Catalyst’s model and skills. We might have to wait a bit until we see Catalyst in the game, if Respawn continues with their “one Legend each season” strategy.
What about the lore?
The lore is not here yet, however, as Respawn will soon release the character, this is likely to change. Because Catalyst primarily focuses on construction and fortifications, we think it might come with an interesting lore.
What are its skills?
Catalyst is solely a defense character, making it a perfect addition to any fortifications-based squads:
- Passive: Reinforce – Increases HP of structures and doors
- Tactical: Ferro Shot – Creates a ramp of hardened Ferro fluids
- Ult: Iron Tower – Creates a column of Ferro fluid underneath Catalyst
In a nutshell, Catalyst might be the best on the battlefield, and it might benefit your team a lot. However, keep in mind that they should be paired with at least one Legend who excels in offensive.
