Stunning new ‘Overdrive’ mode visuals in Cyberpunk 2077 are displayed by Nvidia’s ‘4K Technology’ trailer. But do you know what’s cooler? The technological preview of the Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode, which improves the game’s already stunning visuals with complete ray tracing, also known as path tracing, will be included in a new Cyberpunk 2077 update that will be released on April 11. How about that?!
Check out the incredible trailer below:
A scene’s complete amount of light may be precisely simulated via full ray tracing (that’s just a hint of what this tech can really do!). Until the release of GeForce RTX GPUs with RT Cores and the AI-powered acceleration of NVIDIA DLSS, real-time video game full ray tracing was actually impossible—the reason: the extreme GPU intensiveness.
Of course, the idea is that if you purchase a pricey 40-series Nvidia graphics card in 2023, such technology will no longer be considered inconceivable. Also, with the addition of global illumination, it means that all light sources cast physically correct sleek shadows, a thing, as explained above, previously unimaginable using the previous tech. Such a thing means that every LED billboard, street light, neon sign, car, and any other source of light is now ray-traced.
We’ll be able to enjoy watching the objects, walls, cars, and people in accurate lighting. Quite impressive, isn’t it?! Also, more depth and realism in shadowing will be felt and understood!
Cyberpunk 2077 is by far one of the best games we’ve been blessed with. The game was released back in 2020 as an action role-playing video game made by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt. Players get to control a customizable mercenary named V in Night City, an open environment based in the Cyberpunk ‘verse. V has choices for melee and ranged combat and may learn hacking and mechanical abilities.
