We all know how much we have been waiting for Elden Ring, and now it’s finally here, but it comes with a lot of problems, especially when it comes to the optimized experience.
For more than two and a half years after it was officially announced, the game has finally arrived. It is a very nice project, but it comes with plenty of issues.
We know, we know, you will say that the Metascore does not show any kind of problem, but PC players are really frustrated when it comes to playing this game. They have to deal with brief frame drop or stutter, and this game is all about timing. You won’t be able to win if you have technical issues.
Why are PC players frustrated?
Once they enter open-world areas in the game, players encounter major frame drops.
According to a PC player who wrote on Reddit about his problems, the game couldn’t reach 60FPS at 1080p when standing idle. When he tried to move, the frame rate dropped to 45. If the screen got more crowded, the frame went below 30. The user had an RTX 3080-based PC. Some players started to express their desire to get an FPS limiter on PC in order to let them lock the frame rate at 30 FPS, which would allow them to get rid of the sudden changes in frame rate.
The Day 1 patch was supposed to fix the stuttering issue, but the problem is still available.
Elden Ring is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
