EA Games has released FIFA 15 Demo for the next-generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4 along with Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
The demo comes with three new teams: Napoli, Liverpool and Chelsea but also with previous teams that were found in Fifa’s previous demos such as: FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Paris-Saint Germain and Boca Juniors.
FIFA 15: 10 things you need to know
1. Demo Teams
Every year, when EA Sports releases a FIFA demo, the fans are hoping that their favorite team will be in the team list. The teams that were picked by EA Sports were enunciated above.
We think that EA Sports should start bringing some teams that are not so popular because most of the teams (ex. Boca Juniors, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona) we’re in the past year’s demos also.
2. Graphics
FIFA 15 comes with even better graphics than FIFA 14, with some defined hair, eyes, scars, moles cheekbones, wrinkles, making the game more realistic than before.
However, the developers didn’t focus only on players and instead they turned their attention to the generation lightning system and the fans can be seen clearly now too. EA Sports knows that the gamers appreciate finer details and now they will see that the corner flags will bend as a player bumps into it. Another thing the developers worked on is that when you play in rainy conditions, now the ball will even splash some water when hitting the field.
3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a bit under-rated
EA Sports will never please every fan out there, since there are kids who like Messi, while others like Ronald or other players. However, it seems that they under-rated Zlatan Ibrahimovic, because now it has the capabilities of four-star skill moves in FIFA 15.
4. Default Speed is faster than expected
EA Sports never found a right balance between speed and acceleration and they’ve done it again. In FIFA 10 a lot of gamers got players such as Gabriel Agbonlahor, which had 95 acceleration and 94 sprint speed, and was a big deal to pass by your opponents.
In FIFA 14 the acceleration was felt slowly even for two of the fastest players Raheem Sterling and Theo Walcott. However, in FIFA 15 they get to top speed much faster, but we think that it’s too fast now!
5. EA Games finally worked on Goalkeepers
Goalkeepers never were in EA Games’ attention, because since we all know how they usually mess up a team by kicking balls instead of picking them up or when they run around like some headless chickens without knowing what to do.
Now, the saves made by goalkeepers feel more natural and it feels like you have a world class goalkeeper instead of some headless chicken. However, now scoring a goal might seem a bit more difficult, unless you find a good angle and speed to trick the goalkeeper.
6. Strategy is now more useful
Until now, there were not many things you could do in FIFA 14. You either went for an ultra defending team or an ultra attacking one. In FIFA 15 you can do some tactical changes which will make you feel that the slightest tactical change that you do can either win you the game or lose it.
7. Slide Tackles
In FIFA 14 your defenders felt like they had the rug pulled from under their feet when they were slide tackling. In this version, sometimes you slide tackle by mistake and the character that you control is sliding all over without having an opponent nearby.
In FIFA 15 you will see more impeccable, timed slide tackles to not only stop the attackers, but even to regain the position of the ball.
8. Lounge Mode still not returning
FIFA 12, the players were disappointed when they saw that Lounge Mode was removed. Lounge Mode was a great addition in FIFA 09 which remained in the future versions FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 but after that, EA Games decided to remove it. The Lounge Mode was enjoyed by most of the players because it allowed you to create a competitive league with your friends. In addition, you could also gain some badges or accomplishments while playing Lounge Mode.
Unfortunately FIFA 15 will not come with Lounge Mode, and EA Sports disappointed again most of the FIFA players.
9. It will bury Pro Evolution Soccer 15
Pro Evolution Soccer 15 is going to be released on November 13. We think that FIFA 15 will most likely bury PES 15 even before it gets released. Not many players tend to play PES nowadays, because FIFA 15 is much more fun and comes with better features and graphics. The fact that FIFA 15 is getting released before PES 15, will surely destroy make a big difference and we will notice that PES 15 will not have so much fans anymore.
10. FIFA will never get old
FIFA is a game that will never get old. Star football players come and go and this sport always had fans in real life and in virtual one. If we look behind and see how FIFA was looking back in 95-96 and the way it looks now, we can clearly see that the game gets better and better and along with it the gamers that play it daily. It might not be as popular as some shooter or MMORPG games out there, but it is for sure one of the most played sport games and it will always be!
FIFA 15 will be officially released for Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation and PlayStation 3 on September 23, 2014.
