If the latest rumors prove to be right, Google will most likely release a new OS upgrade on the LG Nexus 5. It seems that Nexus 5 was spotted running on Android 5.1 and Android 5.2 and this device will most likely get an update sometime soon.
According to PhoneArena, The Nexus 5 was spotted on the Geekbench benchmark test running on Android 5.1 a few days ago and a day later it was also noticed running on Android 5.2 on the same benchmarking website.
It is good to know that the Nexus 5 is currently running on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and it is one of the first devices that get Android updates from Google. Since the Nexus 5 was spotted running on Android 5.2 and Android 5.1, now the big question is: will Google skip the Android 5.1 update for Nexus 5 or they will prefer to just release Android 5.2 for this device.
We should also remind you that LG Nexus 5 was one of the first devices that received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, followed by the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update, but it didn’t get yet the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update.
LG Nexus 5 was released with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, when it came in November 2013 but once Google has released Android 5.0 Lollipop this device has received the update pretty fast. LG Nexus 5 features a 4.95inch screen that supports a resolution of 1080x1920pixles at 445ppi. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device has under its hood a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and comes with an internal memory of 16GB or 32GB. Regarding the cameras, the primary one is 8MP and has optical image stabilization, while the front camera is 1.3MP and can be used for video calling, or selfies, but their quality will be mediocre. The device is powered by a non-removable battery with a capacity of 2300 mAh.
Sony Xperia Z3 to run on Android 5.0 soon
In concordance with GSMArena, the Xperia Z3 has now its Lollipop update certified and the update may roll out pretty soon. It seems that the certification was spotted a few days ago and if you are an owner of this device, we suggest you to be ready for the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Unfortunately there is no news when this will happen, but if the developers are moving fast, it may happen in the upcoming days.
