Mac is not always considered a good gaming option especially for a series of fresh games introduced for PC and consoles; Mac is not always friendly in providing the same gaming experience that other options do. But if you can get your hands on Sony DualShock 4 controller then you can feel the difference on same machine. It is the same controller that comes up with Sony PlayStation 4. Having this controller synched with your Mac you can have a fantastic, ergonomic and great gaming experience. This all can happen with a little bit of configuration that we are going to tell you.
At first you need to make sure that you have MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac or Mac Pro, and off course the Sony DualShock 4 controller. You will be requiring the Bluetooth connection to make the magic happen.
You got to start by switching on the Bluetooth on your Mac. If you are a newbie, you will find the toggle Bluetooth option from menu bar at the top of your Mac’s screen. Once it is turned on, you will see a list of currently connected Bluetooth devices and a link to open your Bluetooth preferences. By clicking on Preferences, you can check the devices connected and those devices as well that were connected to your Mac in past.
Next you need to put your Sony DualShock 4 controller into pairing mode by pressing PS button which is also the power button, and the Share button at the front upper left of your controller at once until the light the rear starts to blink indicating that the controller is now on pairing mode.
Now you will get a Wireless Controller notification on your Mac’s screen in the Bluetooth’s preferences window. Confirm Pairing with controller by clicking Pair button at the right. Right after you click it, the blinking light will stall indicating that the pairing is accepted. Now you can launch any game that is supportive of external controller and enjoy the world class gaming experience right on your Mac.
You can also connect your Sony DualShock 4 controller with your Mac by using micro USB cable and use it the same way as you will with Bluetooth connectivity.
