The issue of which flagship smartphone Apple will launch next, has taken a different turn, as new rumors have surfaced suggesting that a new iPhone 7 will be out by September 2015.
This rumor is somehow surprising, considering the fact that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are not even close to a year old. There is already a lot going on, as far as the design, features and other specifications of this new phone are concerned. However, what is even more surprising is the fact that there are still debates on whether Apple will launch a new iPhone 7 or if it will name the new phone differently, say iPhone 6S or 6C.
If the two latter names appear on the next Apple devices, it will mean that the company has opted for the release of cheaper versions of the iPhone 6 models, which is how most Apple users perceive these C and S models. Better still, Apple might decide to drop these names due to their negative effect on their users, who consider them as stepping stones until the next flagship is rolled out. As a result, we are left with a more probable option in the shape of iPhone 7.
Dimensions
If the latest word on the street is to be believed, the iPhone 7 will come with a 4.7 inch display screen. However, there is a rumor that Apple is set to maintain its trend of rolling out two back to back flagships and as such, there will be another iPhone 7 Plus, which will of course join the phablet world with its 5.5 inches of display screen.
The iPhone 7 will feature similar dimensions as those of the iPhone 6, or maybe it will be a little thinner than the current flagship. However, a lot of the design and dimensions of the next Apple flagships will very much resemble the current flagships.
Battery life, camera specs and other rumored features
Many Apple users have recently been complaining about the battery life of many iPhones. This is something that the company is expected to take into great consideration by rolling out an iPhone 7 with a better battery life.
Users of this device should also expect a better screen resolution, with the possibilities of including a better pixel density very high on the cards. The screen coating or covering is also expected to be tougher, be it with the Corning Project Phire or re-introduction of the sapphire screen. This device is also expected to feature a 3D curved display.
The new iPhone 7 will feature a dual-lens camera that will ensure that the users get DSLR-quality snapshots. There are even further rumors that suggest Apple will improve the RAM in the devices from 1GB to at least 1.5GB, which will be a welcome improvement for most users, considering that there are Android smartphones with 3GB of RAM or more.
Release date
The new iPhone 7 will be out in September 2015. This is at least if Apple keeps hold of their pattern of rolling out their devices. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus came in September 2014 and a year before, the iPhone 5, 5C and 5S were announced. However, since a lot of this is still speculation and the company has also not announced anything regarding the next flagship to be released and when to expect it, we will probably have to wait and see what turns out.
However, what can be assured is that the next Apple smartphone will be one to pull you towards it.
