What is OGWhatsApp
OGWhatsApp is an unofficial WhatsApp application that comes with the same features as the official one, but it also comes with some new ones. This is a great application for users that have a smartphone with dual-SIM capability, allowing them to use both mobile phone numbers (WhatsApp IDs) on the same smartphone.
Keep in mind that in order to install OGWhatsApp, you will not need to have root access to your Android device.
OGWhatsApp 2.12.71: What’s new?
The new OGWhatsApp version 2.12.71 comes with a new User Interface that is quite similar with the UI found on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The application comes with an anti-ban feature, preventing you from getting banned from the WhatsApp servers (because you’re not using the official WhatsApp application).
How to install OGWhatsApp 2.12.71 on your Android device
In case you want to use the old WhatsApp account on OGWhatsApp application, you will need to make a backup of the current WhatsApp application that you have installed on your Android device and rename the /sdcard/WhatsApp folder to /sdcard/OGWhatsApp. You need to do this, in order to be able to “transfer” the chat history from the old WhatsApp application to the OGWhatsApp.
After doing this, uninstall the WhatsApp application, download the OGWhatsApp 2.12.71 APK and install it on your Android device.
HINT: Make sure that Unknown Sources is enabled or else you will not be able to install any APK file that you’ve downloaded from the internet.
When the installation is complete, use the old mobile phone number to get verified and log into your WhatsApp account. In case you want to use two WhatsApp accounts on the same Android device, you will need to install back the official WhatsApp application from the internet and use the second mobile phone number.
HINT: In case you don’t own an Android device with dual-SIM, you can put the SIM card to another mobile phone (doesn’t matter if it’s a smartphone or not as you will just need the WhatsApp activation code that you will receive over the SMS service).
Once you receive the verification code, use it to get verified and you’re done! Now, you can use two WhatsApp accounts at the same time on the same smartphone using OGWhatsApp and WhatsApp!
