Rumor has it that Roku 4 will be released this upcoming fall season. Reports state that this new media streaming gizmo, will also unveil some amazing improvements. Besides it’s capacity of supporting 4K streaming as well as a quicker load when you switch between navigation panels, Roku 4 will also roll out with a front-panel reset knob, an embellished channel store, a faster restart and support for 802.11AC Wifi. A list of enhancements that sounds pretty promising.
The tech company in charge of these devices, is working hard to maintain Roku 3 updated. They are doing this by adding a voice search knob along with other new additions, that will keep enthusiasts interested before Roku 4 rolls out. Currently Roku 3 can be bought for $99. Not a bad deal considering all of its brand new features. Of course, it will be no match for Roku 4. But, do prepare your credit cards because the price for the latter will also be pretty steep.
No official dates have been released, but the enthusiasts in the online environment are speculating that the launch will occur somewhere in the fall season. Those that are accustomed to Roku 3 have been waiting long enough for an updated version to roll out. This was a much needed strategy, because Roku users were starting to loose interest. With so many new devices available, Roku should be aware of the fact that users have tons of choices at their disposal. That is why Roku 4 must come out with some pretty good enhancements, because this can actually save them from collapsing.
Who competes against Roku?
Once the 4 K TV onset as well as Apple’s plans on rolling out a new offer via Apple TV, Roku has some serious opponents. There are also other tech companies which are enlisted in this competition. So, if Roku wants a fighting chance, it must roll out its device by the end of the year.
