When it comes to battery life, few phones on the market can last more than one full day.
The reason is simple, bigger displays with more pixels require more battery life, and phones are getting slimmer leaving less space for the battery. However, the HTC One M9, newly announced Sony Xperia Z4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are three phones that have managed to find the perfect balance.
HTC One M9
HTC increased the battery capacity of the One M9 up to 2840 mAh. At first glance, the improvement is not great compared to the M8, but in reality, it is more than significant. The One M9 runs on the powerful Snapdragon 810 chipset. The technology of the processor, coupled with HTC intention to stick to 1080p Full HD display has paid off. The battery of the HTC One M9 can deliver around 13 hours of heavy usage, which includes video watching, internet browsing and much more. Casual users could expect one and a half day usage of the One M9 without problems. Big plus for the M9 is the quick charging feature. This feature will give 40% of battery juice in just 30 minutes.
Galaxy Note 4
The Galaxy Note 4 is still one of the most impressive Android flagships on the market thanks to the massive 5.7 inches QHD display, the S Pen Stylus and the impressive design. There are many things that you will love about the Note 4, and the battery is one of them. A massive 3220 mAh battery powers up the Note 4. Moderate users will be left with approximately 30% of the battery at the end of the day and could use the phone the next day as well. The Note 4 is another flagship that has the quick charging feature, and will provide users with 50% of battery within 30 minutes of charging.
Sony Xperia Z4
Battery life has never been an issue with Sony, as its devices usually deliver the most battery juice compared to other phones on the market. The Xperia Z4 is no exception, as the phone has a massive 2930 mAh battery inside. When compared to other 5 – 5.2 inches flagships on the market, the Z4 has the biggest battery. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is well behind at 2550 mAh, while the HTC One M9 is close. We have yet to see the Z4 in action, as the phone was just announced, but it will surely be one of the best phones battery-wise in 2015.
