If you thought that you were permanently stuck with the same old background on WhatsApp, then think again. You see, it is actually very easy to change it to something that you would prefer and it only involves you following a few rather simple instructions before you can have a background that is far more appealing to your eyes. So, how do you actually make this change?
Changing The Background Is Easy.
When it comes to actually changing the background, then it is easier than you think. The first thing that you need to do is of course to open up WhatsApp and then head to the settings section. When this menu opens, you have to navigate to the chat settings part and tap on that tab.
After this, you will see an option for your wallpaper and this is the key part in changing your background. Tap on that single word and you will then see another screen pop up on your phone and in there is going to be an option that says Gallery, open this and you will see two further options.
The first option allows you to choose from preset wallpapers as selected by WhatsApp and there are several to choose from. However, you can go one step further with the personalization of your wallpaper as it also allows you to select an image that is part of your camera and images folder with WhatsApp and this means anything that is on there can then be used as your wallpaper.
When you select an image, you will then be shown a green border that indicates how much of the image will be used as the wallpaper. This just allows you to see if the image is indeed going to be suitable and when you are happy you can just hit OK for it to be saved. You should then go and check it out on the chat screen itself to see if you are actually satisfied with the outcome.
At the end of it all, if you are not happy you do have the option of resetting the wallpaper back to its original setting. To do this, go back to the settings and there is a reset wallpaper option, click on it and everything will be back to normal in an instant.
So, changing the wallpaper on WhatsApp is easy:
- Go to settings and click on the wallpaper tab.
- Choose from either WhatsApp papers or your own images.
- Check that you are happy with the image before hitting OK.
- Look at how it appears on the chat screen.If unhappy you can always reset it back to its original settings.
You do not have to just stick with the same background on WhatsApp if you do not want to and as you can see it takes limited knowledge in order to change it. The fact that you can choose from any image that is on your phone does offer you so many options to really personalize your phone and it takes just minutes to complete the task.
