The Outdoor Retreat patch for The Sims 4 was released and it brings many new tricks and interactions that can be done with your Sim.
You will be able to visit the Granite Falls, a new place that comes with new herbs and new species of insects that you can see. Besides that, you will be able to go in the Deep Woods of Granite Falls and encounter the Hermit. In concordance with Carls Sims 4 Guide, a requirement of the Outdoor Enthusiast Aspiration, is befriending the Hermit.
The first thing that you must do is go to Granite Falls Forest National Park and head to the trees that are located in the north-east of the cabin and select “Explore” in order to start exploring the surroundings. In order to continue you will have to select different options other than “quitting” the adventure. As soon as you get the “Go Through the Web” option. After selecting it, you will find yourself in the Deep Woods and you will have to select the options: Sally Forth or Ignore the Object followed by Approach the Sim. Then you will meet the Hermit which is a Sim and the location of a secret area.
In order to complete the Outdoor Enthusiast Aspiration, you will have to befriend the Hermit which is located in the Granite Falls. You will have to bring a tent with you in case you will want to visit the secret area and you need to sleep during the befriending process.
If you will want to visit the area again but you can’t find the Hermit, you will have to click the phone and then select “Invite to Hangout at Curent Lot”. By doing this you will summon Hermit. Once you reach the “Good Friends” friendship level, you will be able to learn herbalism recipe from Hermit by using social interaction and get the Fungal Infusion Fertilizer Recipe.
Activities for Day and Night
As we told you above, Sims can carry tents with them and wear outfits for hiking outdoor. You will be able to use the tent anywhere you want, which includes even your backyard. As soon as the tents are set, you can start a campfire for the group and tell some adventures stories along with roasting some marshmallow. You can also hike in the national park.
Other activities The Hermit’s Place
Aside the stuff we said above, you will be able to do many other things in Hermit’s place, such as catching the five different types of unique fish, collect the Hermit’s gardening items or catch the mountain lionfish. If you can’t harvest some garden items, just cut them off as you will be able to use them later for gardening purposes back home.
Bear Costumes and Park Rangers
The Bear Costumes are available and can be used by Sims to scare off other Sims. Park Rangers are also available in the National Park. You will be able to wear the bear costume even at home, likewise any other costume.
