CD Projekt RED has transported their team of executive producer, designers and quality controllers to a far off island where the actual game takes place. They have a lot of new information to share but the trailer focuses strongly on the modes of transportation that you would have to travel the world.
Speaking about it, the developers said, “The world is enormous and it is bustling with people but moving around the same matters, if you want to know what’s there in every city.” They give you the option of being able to use your horse which will most probably be your trusted choice of transport on the road. It allows you to scale villages, cities and talk to people on the way. There are also the ships and boats that you could use to dive into the ocean. Finally, you can walk if you dare because traveling at night on foot is the best choices.
Commuting Your Style
The mode you choose to commute in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is purely an individual decision. The developing team doesn’t force you to use a boat or a horse in order to reach a village. It is made possible because the world is entirely open and you can just use your ship to take a rough turn to reach the other side or ride on a horse for long hours.
You can do everything you wish which is the biggest impressive factor of the game. When going on a boat, the developer said, “You don’t have to keep navigating all the time because there are things to explore in the ocean as well. You can dive into the deep ocean to find loot, treasure, weapons or something surprising before continuing your journey on the boat.” That sounds like a whole lot of the world that you got to explore.
Varied Maps
Senior game designer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Damien Monnier, said, “There will be so many points of interests that will tease you. They have handcrafted each location with a specific backstory, will pose challenges that push you further and when you successfully complete it, there will be obviously great rewards to take hold of.”
A similar promise was made by Monika, the quality assurance specialist, who said that everything in the map had been made to resemble the original world. It not only ends there but will have lively characters who act like real people with their own stories and woes.
