The Apple Watch is one of the most anticipated gadgets in the world today.
This smartwatch is expected to be officially released on the 24th of April 2015, but the company will start accepting pre-orders as from the 10th of this month.
The Apple smartwatch is compatible with the iPhone and in essence, Apple has been at it with this device, doing away with the renowned iWatch tag, as it looks towards launching its first ever chic wearable tech.
Apple Watch to debut with iOS 8.2
The latest version of the iOS is v8.2. Of all the iOS 8 iterations, this is the only version that is compatible with the Apple Watch. This is actually one of the friendliest devices your iPhone will ever get and after months of speculations, this Apple Watch is finally here and you can start making pre-orders very soon.
Even though this device’s first release is limited to a number of countries that include the U.S., Australia, Germany, France, UK, China, Japan and Hong Kong among others, it is expected that it will reach the international fold in a few months’ time.
Using Apple Watch to chat with WeChat, Twitter or Line
The world has totally changed and this can be attributed to the recent developments in the technological world. The emergence of the Apple Watch is one such technological advancement and with it, you’ll come across some of the best functionalities.
You all must be aware of the many instant messaging and voice calling applications that are available for free download today. When the Apple Watch launches later this month, there are a number of applications that are already set to be launched on this device and among them are social media apps that include Twitter, Instagram and Facebook as well as instant messengers like WeChat and Line.
WeChat for Apple Watch
China in particular is one of the most favored destinations of this Apple Watch and this can be attributed to the fact that this country has always been left behind when rolling out the first wave of the iPhones. Furthermore, it is also true to say that this is happening because of a recent study that revealed China as the current leading consumer of Apple products.
Using this Apple smartwatch, it will be possible to send and receive WeChat messages as well as use the WeChat moments feature. However, it will not be possible to make WeChat free calls using the Apple Watch.
Line for Apple Watch
The Apple Watch will also debut in Japan on day one of its release and just like China; this country was also left behind, in the previous Apple line of products, at launch. With Line as the major instant messaging app in this country, it has also been added to the list of applications that this smartwatch can handle. Using Line, you will be able to send and receive messages on your Apple Watch, but just like WeChat, making free calls is not possible just yet. Whether this functionality will be added in the near future is still unclear, however, it might not be possible, considering the compactness of this wrist watch.
Twitter for Apple Watch
Twitter and Facebook users are not left behind either in this update as they will also be able to connect with their Twitter followers and Facebook friends using the Apple Watch, respectively.
Where to download Apple Watch apps
Since the Apple Watch will use the iOS 8.2, it is part of the iTunes App Store and as such, all these apps will be found in the Apple Watch section of the Apple App Store. All of these applications are available for free.
