If yesterday we’ve told you about WhatsApp 2.12.130, today we’re going to tell you about a new WhatsApp version that the developers have released for Android OS. The new WhatApp 2.12.134 got released today and it comes with some modified files and new files.
From what we’ve seen, the new WhatsApp 2.12.134 BETA comes with 289 modified files, 6 new files and the installation file has been increased by 75KB. It seems that there are a few changes to the WhatsApp UI, as three new files confirm that, since they are named as follows: “search_background.xml”, “conversations_search_section.xml” and “search_panel.9.png”. These 3 files confirm that there will be some UI changes into the search section. However, there is also a new file named “home.xml” but we’re not sure what it will actually do.
The new WhatsApp 2.12.134 BETA version also comes with some improvements and bug fixes.
WhatsApp 2.12.134: How to install on Android
WhatsApp 2.12.134 is currently in BETA and that means that it can’t be downloaded and installed directly from the Google Play Store. However, you can manually download the APK file by heading to the official WhatsApp website. To download the WhatsApp 2.12.134 version open the browser that you use on your Android device and head to whatsapp.com/android. Once the webpage loads, you will notice a “Download Now” button. Tap on the button to start downloading the WhatsApp 2.12.134 APK file to your Android device.
When the download is complete, you will also need to enable the Unknown Sources option. This option allows you to install APK files that have been downloaded from third party sources. Depending on the Android OS version that your device is running on, you will be able to enable this feature by heading to Settings->Applications or Settings->Security.
Once you’re sure that the Unknown Sources option is enabled, you can head to the location where you’ve saved the WhatsApp 2.12.134 APK file (use a file manager application) and tap on it to start installing it on your Android device. When the installation is complete, use the mobile phone number to get verified and start using the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android device!
