Instant messaging on mobile devices evolved a lot in the past years. Nowadays, everyone is using Facebook, Skype, WhatsApp and other instant messaging applications on their mobile devices.
WhatsApp is currently one of the most used instant messaging applications out there, having over 800 million active users and growing pretty fast. In order to keep users’ interest in the application, the developers of WhatsApp are trying to bring more and more features.
If yesterday we’ve told about WhatsApp 2.12.134, today we have a new beta version to talk about. Yes, the developers are releasing new WhatsApp versions for Android almost every day and the new update shows clearly that they are currently working on finally bringing the Google Drive feature to the application.
WhatsApp 2.12.136 comes with 3 new files named “selector_google_drive_with_darker_disabled_text.xml”, “selector_google_drive_with_lighter_disabled_text.xml” and “Selector_google_drive.xml”. The developers als removed two files retated to Google Drive named “google_drive_setup_list_item.xml” and “selector_google_drive.xml”. This clearly shows that Google Drive is getting closer to be finally implemented to the application.
The new WhatsApp 2.12.136 features a new “ic_bluetooth.xml” file, which it is rumored to be a new feature that will soon be added to the application. We’re not sure yet what it will actually do, but the rumors say that you will be able to use the Bluetooth connection to chat on WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp 2.12.136 application also comes with a few improvements and bug fixes.
