The best part about WhatsApp is that it allows you immediate connectivity if you wish to chat with a friend or send an important message. Because the app has the Group Chat feature incorporated, users can correspond with their friends. But because these conversations take place in real time, some messages might be missed by users. Fortunately for you, WhatsApp has provided a solution for this. You can use the search feature to look for the messages you were not able to see. This search element is not just lying in plain sight and some don’t even know it exists. In order to find this “secret tool” you have to advance even further into Settings. Here is a quick guide to help you out:
Reminder: These instructions were performed on an Android gizmo. The iOS variant for WhatsApp doesn’t have the search feature we mentioned above. But, you can give the Whatool tool a try and it might do the trick.
- Go to WhatsApp and then head on to the chat. Here is where you will want to look for the archived message.
- Click the Option knob (look for the knob that has 3 tiny vertical dots).
- The Search option should appear right before your eyes. Choose it.
- Next a search should pop-up. You just have to type in the text that you wish to look for.
WhatsApp will begin to look through all of your archives and it will also mark the word/s you are looking for, so you can see where they are. Next you can click the up and down arrow symbols right next to this search field, this is if you wish to go either to the former or the latter search results. You should be able to find what you need.
