The WhatsApp messenger is available for multiple mobile operating systems, such as: Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Nokia, BlackBerry and Symbian. The application uses the internet connection, allowing you to send free text messages, video files, photos etc.
Also, WhatsApp for Android, iOS and BlackBerry 10 now features Voice Calls, which allows you to call all your WhatsApp friends (that have this feature available on their devices also), for free. Unfortunately, this new feature uses a lot of data and according to some users, it’s not working as it should. It seems that the WhatsApp users who used the Voice Calling feature said that the calls were either ending randomly or lagging. Most likely, this is why the developers of WhatsApp are releasing new beta versions almost everyday.
Features that WhatsApp 2.12.108 comes with

Profile image
Set your profile image that you want to be displayed to others.
No international fees
WhatsApp uses the internet connection to send and receive data, which means that you will not pay any extra fees when chatting/talking with a person that lives in another country.
Say goodbye to usernames and passwords
Do you have a hard time remembering a username or a password? Well don’t worry, because you won’t need those on WhatsApp application. When you get your mobile phone verified on WhatsApp, you will automatically login whenever you open the application. You will need to get verified once again only if you uninstall the WhatsApp application and install it back.
Adding WhatsApp friends
After you install the WhatsApp application and verify yourself using your mobile phone number, the application will scan your phonebook for users who have their mobile phone numbers registered to WhatsApp. When it detects a mobile phone number registered to WhatsApp, the application adds the owner to your list of friends.
Offline messages
You will receive messages even if you are not online. These are called “offline messages” and they are stored on WhatsApp’s servers. As soon as the WhatsApp user logs into his/her account, (s)he will receive all the messages that were sent to him/her while being offline.
