WhatsApp still needs improvements in terms of features, but it has the biggest number of active users and new people are joining every day to send messages without being charged. The application is almost as good as Skype or Viber, but it charges its users after the one-year trial ends. Even so, there are plenty Android and iOS users who are addicted to WhatsApp. In this article, we’ll teach you how to install WhatsApp on an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus.
Last September, Apple released two new iPhones, with larger screens in order to adapt to the new trend, and there were plenty customers who didn’t care about the high price of the phablet, being ready to pay between 749 and 949 dollars on the iPhone 6 Plus (depending on the storage option).
The devices are powered by the same processor: Apple A8 dual-core 1.4GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based) with PowerVR GX6450 graphics and 1GB of RAM, they have fixed internal memories with capacities of 16, 64 and 128 GB, and another thing they have in common is the rear camera of 8MP with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, HDR, 1/3” sensor size, 1.5µm pixel size etc. When it comes to display sizes and resolutions, the iPhone 6 is equipped with a 4.7inches front panel that supports 750×1334 pixels at 326ppi, and because it’s smaller than the phablet, it requires a smaller battery too, which has a capacity of 1810 mAh. The iPhone 6 Plus features a 5.5inches screen with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and 401ppi pixel density, while the battery is 2915 mAh.
If you own one of these two premium smartphones and your friends convinced you to register to WhatsApp, then you will need to head to the official website and when you’ll see the Download button, click on it. You will see a list of six supported mobile platforms and iOS is at the top of the list. When clicking on it, you will be redirected to iTunes, from where you’ll download the APK file, which has a size of 46MB.
The 2.12.2 version, which contains bug fixes, support voice calling, but the Calls button isn’t automatically activated, so you’ll have to wait to be notified by WhatsApp when the feature will be available. If you’re running out of patience and you’re still running iOS 8.1.2, then you can jailbreak your iPhone and install WhatsApp. To activate the voice calling feature, you need to ask your friends to give you a call.
