WhatsApp is one of the most used applications on smartphones. But, until now, for computer owners, using WhatsApp on their devices was only a dream and they were hoping that one day, the developers will release a feature that will allow them to install WhatsApp on PCs. Well, their dream came true, because the developers came with WhatsApp Web, and to use this feature is quite easy and they will need the latest version of WhatsApp installed on their devices and the latest version of Opera, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
Using WhatsApp Web on your PC
Download one of these browsers: Opera, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome on your PC, open the Google web page and search for “WhatsApp Web”. The first link that it finds will get you to the WhatsApp Web (web page).
After the page loads, you will see that there is a QR code in there. You will have to scan the code with your smartphone. To do this, open the WhatsApp application, tap on menu and open WhatsApp Web feature. You will then see a square on the display of your smartphone’s display, which you will need to place it on the QR code. Once the QR code is scanned by your smartphone, you will automatically log into your WhatsApp account.
However, you are quite limited while using this feature on the web browser and this is why you will most likely prefer to install the application on your computer.
Installing WhatsApp on your computer via BlueStacks
To install WhatsApp on your PC you will have to firstly install an Android emulator. There are many Android emulators for PC’s out there, but we suggest you using BlueStacks.
However, keep in mind that if you install WhatsApp on your computer, the WhatsApp account will automatically be disabled on your smartphone (if you use the same mobile phone number). This is why we suggest you to make a separate WhatsApp account for the application that runs on your computer, by simply buying a new SIM card and inserting it into your phone to just get your WhatsApp account verified on your PC.
Installing BlueStacks and WhatsApp on your computer
While on your computer, open the Google search engine and search for BlueStacks. The first result should be the official BlueStacks webpage, from where you will be able to download the application. Click on “Download” and an .exe file will be downloaded on your computer. When the download finishes, just run the .exe file to start the installation.
After the installation is complete, open BlueStacks and click on the “search” button. Search for WhatsApp and install it on your computer. Once the application is installed, you will need to verify the WhatsApp account by using your mobile phone number (old phone number or new one), and once the verification is complete you can start talking with your WhatsApp friends.
