WhatsApp is an application that has over 800 million active users and it keeps on growing. It seems that the developers took the right decision by adding the Voice Calling feature to the application and this has boosted the number of people who registered to WhatsApp and who are using this application every day.
At the same time, a lot of people claimed that the Voice Calling feature doesn’t have the best quality and, sometimes, the call even ends out of the sudden and maybe this is the reason why the developers have released a lot of new WhatsApp versions in the last weeks. They probably try to improve the WhatApp Voice Calling feature.
It is good to know that the WhatsApp Voice Calling feature is using almost as much internet data as Skype is using when calling someone over 3G. We think that’s a bit too much, because at least Skype is offering top Voice Calling, while WhatsApp’s Voice Calling is still in the early phase and the developers have a lot of fixing to do until they will be able to claim that their Voice Calling feature is better than Skype’s.
Also, by installing WhatsApp 2.12.71 you will be able to use the WhatsApp Web feature. This feature allows you to log into your WhatsApp account on your computer via the browser (keep in mind that only Opera, Google Chrome and Firefox are supported so far). To use WhatsApp Web is quite simple, as all you need to do is to open the WhatsApp application, select menu and tap on “WhatsApp Web”. Then, you will notice that the camera will open and now you will have to head to your computer and open the webpage web.whatsapp.com. Now, you will notice that there is a QR code on the page which you will need to scan with your mobile device. Once you’ve scanned the code, you will be automatically logged into your WhatsApp account on your computer.
HINT: Keep in mind that you will need to leave WhatsApp application on your mobile device running and the device has to stay connected to the internet or else you will not be able to send and receive messages on WhatsApp Web.
